Definitions
In these terms of trade, references to the company mean "The Floor Space" and references to the "Customer" mean the person, the firm, or the company by whom the order is given. References to "the Goods" mean the subject matter of the order or any part or variation thereof.
General
Any acceptance by the company of the customer's order is conditional upon acceptance by the customer of these conditions which, unless otherwise agreed in writing, shall be the only conditions applicable to any contract entered into by the company for the sale of product to the customer. All other conditions, warranties, descriptions and representations inconsistent therewith, expressly, implied, statutory or otherwise, are hereby excluded except insofar as any statutory provisions, conditions, warranties shall not be capable of being excluded.
Availability of goods and transport
Quotations (if any), orders and contracts are subject to variation or cancellation at the election of the company if owing to an act of God, war, strike, lockouts, work to rule, fire, flood, drought, or any other causes whatsoever outside the control of the company, the company is unable to procure the goods, materials or transport for delivery thereof or if the goods, materials or transport are only available at increased cost to the company.
Prices & Tax
Unless otherwise expressly agreed by the company in writing, prices quoted in any contract, order, price list or otherwise are subject to increase without notice in the event of there being, prior to delivery of the goods any rise in market price of the goods or any increase to the cost of the company of, or caused by, materials, fuel, labour, transport, government or other duties or taxes. Prices displayed are shown in £ (pound) sterling and are inclusive of VAT.

Claims
Any claims of shortages or claims of damaged goods which are not either marked on the delivery note or notified in writing within three days of receipt of goods shall not be entertained by the company. Settlement of any such claim shall be strictly limited to the value of the goods.
Catalogues
All descriptive and sales catalogues, other advertising matter and price-lists are intended merely to represent a general idea of the goods described therein and none of these shall form part of the contract. Product colour may vary depending upon your screen type. Please order a product sample to confirm colour prior to purchase

Any dispute will be governed by Scottish Law.

Methods of Payment
Orders can be submitted online and paid for by credit/debit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Delta, Electron, Maestro (Switch )and Solo), Please select the appropriate button at check out. In addition to the credit and debit cards listed above, we also accept payment by cheque when orders are taken over the phone on 0870 919 4098.
For customers wishing to order and pay by cheque, please make all cheques payable to 'The Floor Space' and ensure you write your address, cheque guarantee number and order number on the back. Orders will require five working days for clearance after receipt of the cheque before they can be despatched. When calling please have details of the products, quantities and any optional finishes ready.
Currency Taxes and Duties
All prices are shown in £ (pound) sterling and are accurate at the time of publication. Unless specified otherwise, all prices displayed on the website are inclusive of UK Sales Tax (VAT ) at 17.5%
